A little about me…

Hello! I am Lisa and I love to lift weights and make yummy food!

I love to do Crossfit, read books, come up with delicious recipes and help my husband with home improvements!

I am here to share a little bit of all that and more!

Once a California girl, I upped and moved to New Mexico to get my MS in Geology. I’ve always loved food and eating, however exercising wasn’t something I did until after college. I needed a lifestyle change. I started crossfit in the summer of 2014 and have been doing it off and on since. I’ve learned a whole bunch about lifting weights and eating right. I’ve tried paleo (with much success) and am currently exploring the IIFYM (if it fits your macros) path. I’ve lost weight (with the above mentioned paleo) and gained weight (when not doing crossift and not eating healthy), but I am currently in the process of losing weight again, getting stronger and figuring out how to eat healthy while still enjoying the occasional indulgence.

Doing crossfit gives me a confidence that was previously unknown to me.  It is amazing to be able to lift heavy things and to know that a handstand push-up is not an unforeseeable thing in my future.

Have fun browsing the blog! I hope to keep you all posted on my workout progress as well as any fun recipes I come up with. Additionally, being an avid reader I’m sure I’ll let you all know what I think of the books I am reading!
